It has been an amazing 6 weeks in RBS! As a Mandarin speaker, at first it was quite a challenge for me due to the difference in language, culture and environment. I thank God for strengthening me through these challenges. Through these weeks, I can see how God has used RBS to change me spiritually. I made a lot of friends here too! Although we all come from different backgrounds, churches and places, I feel that all of them are like a part of my family. I am very glad that they always give me support and bear with me.

So incredibly thankful for this community, this family. Through them, I finally understand what it means to be one in Christ, to carry each other's burdens. I pray we stay connected after this, keeping each other accountable through our own daily devotions and our walk with Christ. I’ve learned so much about who God is and why Jesus is the Way in the Apologetics class, and now that I can explain my faith with logical arguments, perhaps I won't be so scared to share it. Seeing the martyrs stand up for their faith in Church History also encouraged me to be bold about my own. I hope that the lessons we learned here and the community I found will stay even after RBS, and that we will be living proof of what God has done here by serving others with a willing heart to wash others' feet.

My RBS experience here has challenged me to think about many things. Firstly, it would be me. I realize I have a lot of weak areas in my life and I will need time to improve those areas. Secondly, it challenged me to value the community I have back home and to share the same love the community here in RBS has shared with me. Lastly, RBS has challenged me on where I should serve next. As much as I want to live out my life, I want to also put the gifts God has planted in me to good use

After RBS, I feel a lot more grounded in my faith in the sense that I now know what the foundations of my faith are - rooted in Christ in every aspect of my life. I also feel more equipped to serve in various ways and to love others just as Christ loved us. Lastly, I feel recharged after this pitstop to continue running this race with perseverance, fixing my eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of my faith.

In my 6 weeks of RBS, I have learned to meditate and reflect on God’s Word through Lectio Divina which really helps me to hear what God has to say to me. Throughout RBS, God has shown me an example of what a Christian community is like, constantly supporting and building each other. Journaling has taught me to reflect on my life and to notice the flaws in my Christian life and to grow from it. Lastly, I have learned how obedience to God is one of the most important things to be closer to him.
